Typical NY resolutions hold little weight. They’re wishes and people don’t change their ways to achieve these wishes… this results in the same thing being wished for every new year, yet nothings done about it.
Disciplines on the other hand are things you have to carry out daily and/or weekly, you need to invest time and possibly money into them, they carry weight and weight in your goals is what you need. You’re focused on the task at hand, rather than this dream in the future. Lack of discipline is where people fail. If your goal is to lose 10kg you need to quickly focus on what disciplines you need to carry out daily to achieve that goal. Those disciplines will have to stay with you for life.
Health and fitness isn’t a 6 week commitment. It’s a life long one. That means training for the rest of your life, week in and week out. That means implementing healthy nutrition habits and boundaries, not for a short time but forever.
I have a number of disciplines I’m putting in place this year. A few for a challenge to keep me strong mentally.
