A couple of calorie examples;
One 17 gram packet of natural popcorn is 80cals. This is a great low calorie snack if you’re peckish.
Avalanche chai latte, one cup with hot water and no milk is 85cals. A proper chai latte from the coffee shop would be much higher with all the milk they use.
One chocolate trumpet (which I love) is 250cals. These are only little and ive been known to have two which makes it 500cals!
Red wine 🍷 I definitely don’t pour a standard wine when having one. 250ml atleast. This can be between 200-300cals!
The 8oz flat white I bought this morning with full fat milk was 225cals!
You can see how if our daily allowance is 1500 (for example) this could be wiped out so fast.
Plenty of people have 2-4 bought coffees a day, this could be 1000cals just on coffee and then they crack open the beer and wine after a long day and potentially double that 1000cals on alcohol, none of these cals have been food yet! What will the body do with a surplus of calories/energy? Store it. What will the body do with a deficit of calories/energy? Use stored fat….
Do you see how without tracking and without this education you’ll constantly be wondering why. So many people think just exercising is enough… you could go do a workout and ruin it all with a milky coffee at the cafe afterwards.
This knowledge is something you can carry with you for life.
It’s so so important to understand as it means you’ll see all the new diets and fads pop up and see them as pure money makers for uneducated people.
Our moto since day one at Rev has been ‘we give you the tools to change your life’.
We’re giving you the tools and shortcutting our years and years of study and experience so you can ACTION it all and change your life.
Action being the key word and the part you can only do. Unless you want to pay us to follow you around with a swat to slap foods out of your hands and make you run when needed, we can outsource that to a new trainer!
But in all seriousness, don’t you love how simple weight loss is once you understand?
